Today during the sermon in the HOLY EUCHARIST the person celebrating mass who also happens to celebrate life today; shared about his Salesian Vocation – the ups & downs, the pros and cons of life. And consciously or unconsciously he reminded all of us to be faithful to our Vocation for this is the most precious PEARL – TREASURE of our lives. And he used to word Vocation, if I have counted right at least for 15 times. This is only to say that he really meant what he shared with us, at MASS this morning. And from that time onwards I began to see and reflect on my Salesian Vocation and the part this Priest played in my life in my initial formation years from 2007-2014, this makes it a total of SEVEN YEARS.
I must say
dear FATHER you really mean a lot to me & to all of us here at DIVYADAAN. I
would like to add here that FATHER (loving) has not only been a father to me
but a BROTHER (understanding) and a FRIEND (challenging). My joURney with him
began when he was my Prefect of Studies & Principal, then as Vice Rector &
Co-ordinator, Finally, though for a short time – a Rector.

I can say to U….
“A Man on hot wheels (enthusiatic and active), A
Man of Steel (convinced &
committed)” – well my dear friendz…I am talking here about the person you all and
who celebrates his gift of lYf. He is none other than FR ROBERT PEN SDB, the
Rector of DIVYADAAN – Salesian Institute of Philosophy.
He is an eternal optimist with an Oratorian heart after that of
Jesus the Good Shepherd and Don Bosco. Staying
with such a person I can say with certainty that it difficult to match his stupendous
character and achievements. He believes in the goodness and having a positive
attitude toward all, coupled with this his altruistic understanding and
conscientious deeds. This I say is truly is a mark of a true formator !!!
In him, the Uth as well as the Young Salesians see a true
friend, who understands, and has time to spend with to converse be it on the
corridors, refectory, and class or in the office. His boundless energy is seen when he walks the
talk.
This reminds of the word presence: his virtual presence
needs to be acclaimed; if social communication, and especially the worldwide
web, is a new space where young people gather, there he is present by his COMMUNICATION
4 COMMUNION
- Counseling
and Chatting;
he makes use of this to the maximum by way of Educating and Evangelizing.
In a nutshell, Fr Robert is a Committed Salesian, Communicative
Thinker and Caring Person.
We wish Fr Robert “ad multos annos” as continues proposing “ad
cor ad liqutor” with credible joy and convincing gratitude we ask God to
continue blessing you as you labor, in the service of the Lord, as his chosen
Priest.
